"I would describe my work as constructed paintings with graphical forms and appealing colour combinations. I'm always looking for little groups of shapes that appeal to me, in the city or out in nature. I start by stripping these 'compositional moments' down to their essential forms, on paper or in my head. The core of the process lies in piecing together these abstract components in unexpected ways. Some works are more sculptural than others, some more figurative, but they are always bold and graphical.
